My Thoughts – P&S Bead Maker
P&S Bead Maker is a great drying aid or last step spray. You get a great experience with the light mango smell and easy application.
This is listed as a paint sealant by the manufacturer. Although it does provide some protection, I would not use this as the only protective layer on my car. I’ve found success using other, more durable products as a base layer of protection. Adding a layer of Bead Maker on top of your protective foundation (a sealant, coating, etc.) gives you that awesome gloss you’re looking for and amazingly slick, clean feeling. The small amount of protection Bead Maker provides helps further protect your base coating between washes.
It’s very easy to apply this, but you can’t mindlessly spray this everywhere and just wipe it off. Make sure you’re not getting the product on an already finished panel and then not wiping it up. If you let this sit it turns into hard to remove spots. As you’re working your way around your car make sure you angle your sprayer so that your finished sections are not going to get hit with overspray.
How to Use P&S Bead Maker
Paint Protection Sealant
If your plan is to use Bead Maker as your main layer of protection then application starts after an appropriate level of strip wash and decontamination of the paint. Once the paint surface is ready for your protective layer spray an entire panel with Bead Maker and spread it around with the high pile side of a Spectrum 420 towel. After that, wipe the panel with the low pile side of a Spectrum 420 towel until perfect.
Drying Aid
I’m currently using this as a drying aid after every wash for both of my cars. After the final rinse during a normal soap wash or after a rinseless wash I put a few sprays of Bead Maker on a wet section and use a high pile microfiber drying towel to spread the product around and soak up the water. After that I use a low pile microfiber towel to make sure the section looks perfect.
Last Step Spray
The last step spray process is basically the same as the drying aid process except you’re starting with a dry surface instead of a wet one. Get a few sprays of Bead Maker on a dry section, spread it around with the high pile side of the Spectrum 420, then finish the section using the low pile side of the Spectrum 420.
